Kit #200 - Series 224XX SP&S Gondola Chip Car Extensions - Laser cut wood by Blair Line.

These replicate the extensions for the 224XX series chip cars to be used in conjunction with the Red Caboose GSS Steel Gondola. Includes laser cut extensions, styrene braces, wood posts, ladders and decals for the data, reporting marks, "SP&S" initials and assignment stencils.

1964 to merger (and after still in SP&S paint) -- HO scale. $10 each.

Kit #201 - Series 235XX SP&S Gondola Chip Car Extensions - Laser cut wood by Blair Line.

These replicate the extensions for the 235XX series chip cars to be used in conjunction with the MDC 40' gondola. Includes laser cut extensions, styrene braces, wood posts, ladders, brake equipment and decals for the data, reporting marks, "SPS" initials and assignment stencils. An article on converting an MDC gon to the 235XX is in the works, stay tuned! HO scale.

1960 to merger (and after still in SP&S paint.) -- $12 each.

Kit #202 - Series 235XX SP&S Gondola Car Sides - Laser cut styrene by Blair Line.

These are styrene pieces with etched detail (tie downs, tack board). It also is a "peel & stick" design allowing you to remove the ribs from an MDC 40' gondola, peel the backing off and place it on the car. These sides will also produce a very close NP and GN gondolas (see November 2003 "Mainline Modeler"). Then you glue the "T" sections in between the etched placement lines on the styrene sides. Includes two sides, cut to length "T" sections and complete instructions. HO scale. $5 each set.

Kit #203 - Series 39000 Boxcar Chip Extensions - Laser cut wood by Blair Line.

This kit is designed around the "Accurail" USRA Double Sheathed Boxcar. Just cut out the roof of the boxcar, build the kit, peel & stick wood false floor on the weight and glue extensions in place. This kit includes laser cut wood extensions, laser cut & etched peel & stick wood floor, cut to length support posts, decals and assembly diagram.

1950 to merger (very diminished quantity.) -- HO scale. $10 each.

Decal set #HH-242 -- HO Scale

HH-242 includes one pair of 42" high billboard initials ONLY and is intended to correct the existing errors in all known sets when attempting to letter cars of the 11000 series boxcars. It is important to note that the 42" high initials have never before been offered to modelers and is correct, according to company documents, for the 11000 series boxcars despite what has been widely written.

The 42" height of these initials is also correct for those 40' chip cars converted from GS gondolas. Omitting the ampersand will provide correct lettering for the solid bottom gondolas converted to woodchip series. Note that in all cases above, not all of these cars had billboard initials... work from photos.

Each set has lettering for one car. $5.00 for a pack of five sets.

Note: ALL other lettering needed to letter any of the cars mentioned above must come from the available commercial sets, such as those made by Champ, Microscale, CDS (dry transfers) and perhaps Clover House. These initials are intended to augment of "fix" existing sets.

Decal Set #HH-236 -- HO Scale

HH-236 includes one pair of 36" high billboard initials ONLY and is intended for use on the 62' chip cars of the 9000 series built by Gunderson in 1965. This series of cars is the only known group to have the 36" high initials and the lack of an ampersand is correct

Each set has lettering for one car. $5.00 for a pack of five sets.

Note: ALL other lettering needed to letter any of the cars mentioned above must come from the available commercial sets, such as those made by Champ, Microscale, CDS (dry transfers) and perhaps Clover House. These initials are intended to augment of "fix" existing sets.
